Land of nomads

Mongolia is roughly the size of France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Spain and Portugal combined together but instead of living millions of people it has only about 3 million. This means that the country has vast swathes of unpopulated wilderness in which the native flora and fauna of the country can flourish, and incredible landscapes from dramatic desert to the lush north and from spectacular high mountains to vast steppe. For millennia, herders have lived on the Mongolian land, living as free as the country is wide. Mongolia’s vast steppe is home to one of the world’s last surviving nomadic cultures.
